The website for March is called Doctor’s Guide (Personal Edition) (www.docguide.com)

and it is filled with information on stroke and related subjects. As in other sites, you can view other medical information as well.  There are seven sections to explore:

v     Most Related News

v     All News

v     All Webcasts

v     All Cases

v     Congress Resource Centre

v     All Medical Resources

v     My Personal Edition

Some of the topics covered in the Medical News and Alerts section in the latest edition are:

v     “Abdominal Obesity Identified as Independent Risk Factor for Stroke”

v     Ramipril Reduces Stroke Risk, HOPE Trial Follow-up Reports

v     New Model Incorporating Magnetic Resonance Helps Predict Stroke Outcome

v     Risk of Death from Stroke Predicted by Oversleeping/Daytime Napping

The Discussion Groups and Newsgroups include:

v     sci.med.cardiology

v     Stroke Webforum

v     SupportPath.com: Stoke (CVA)

It is very easy to join the PERSONAL EDITION. It is free and gives you email updates, specialized search and resources, and you can create links to your favorite sites and journal reviews.

As I have mentioned in other reviews, each site contains a lot of repetition, but every site that I have visited always has something new - especially in the journal reviews. I hope you can find something here that is important to you!

Take care – Spring is coming!!!! J
