This month, the
spotlight is on Phil Anderson, a member of the Stroke Network’s Board of
Directors. Phil is a stroke survivor who lives in Bel
Air, Maryland. Here are some interesting facts you may not know about him. Favorite hobbies: Running and organizing races Other hobbies:
Biking, skiing, gardening and doing projects around the house Secret talent: He can
dance pretty well. His most memorable vacation: After he retired from the banking industry, he and his wife rented a
house in Ireland for five weeks. People would be surprised to learn that: He once lived in Vietnam for one year. The most unusual thing he’s ever done: When he turned 50 years of age, he ran 50K (31 miles) for five days in
a row, all by himself. He thinks he has a green thumb because: He has six (!) gardens. Best thing that ever happened to him: To get married to his wonderful wife, Carol, 41 years ago Totally surprising fact about him: He’s done 38 marathons and 79 ultra-marathons, and next year, he’ll
hit a milestone of running 40,000 miles! Song that defines the “soundtrack″ of his
