Update
profiles – I would appreciate it if everyone would update their profile on
the message board. I recently modified the field that shows whether you
are a stroke survivor, caregiver, etc. The old information for this field
was deleted because the field changed. To update your profile you must
login to the message board and click on the My Controls link. Click on
Edit Profile and then update your information accordingly.
Bios
needed – please submit your bio to Lin to be included in the Bio section
of our newsletter. You can also add your bio yourself by going to the
Gallery. Existing bios can be found there, as well.
Pictures needed – is your picture in our Gallery? We need pictures of our
members. If you do not have a scanned photograph email me or Lin and we
can arrange to scan it for free.
Business relationships – our organization could get involved with a
business that puts your medical records on-line. Just think, you could go
to a different doctor to treat you for a new ailment and by giving the
secretary your medical card they could get your complete medical history.
Your past and current drug plan with the dosages. Even pictures of your
x-rays. I think this idea has tons of potential a might become the way of
the future. Current fee is $96 per year but Stroke Network members would
be offered a discount on the fee.
Language Disorders Chat – the February special chat for language disorders
was another success! Several members attended the chat and shared specific
problems and asked questions. This is a special organization chat that we
plan to schedule each month. You can setup a reminder to automatically
email you when we schedule the next one by logging in to the message board
and selecting the Chat Schedule button.
