Stroke Research and AT (Assistive Technology)

Survey Invitation

 

What do these Stroke Research and Assistive Technology have in common?  Well, they are large topics in themselves, but not often studied together.

 

Drs. Laura Cushman and Marcia Scherer currently collaborate on studies of psychological and social factors in assistive technology use. They are initiating a study that looks at the AT needs and experiences of people with stroke. Your help would be appreciated.

The survey can be submitted in one of three ways:

 

Copy the survey and save it as a Word document. When completed, it can be e-mailed (as an attachment) to Dr. Cushman at: laura_cushman@urmc.rochester.edu

 

Or, print the survey, complete it by hand and return it by fax or mail. The survey can also be saved in another program such as Notepad and it can be filled out on the computer. The survey can then be faxed or mailed.

Dr. Laura Cushman is on the expert panel for the Stroke Network. Her training focused on Neuropsychology, or the study of brain-behavior relationships. She has an academic position at the University of Rochester (New York) Medical Center, where she has worked as a Neuropsychologist on a hospital-based rehabilitation unit. Her clinical work has focused primarily on individuals who have had strokes.
