Attitude of Gratitude Greetings from the East Coast! I bought my warm coats and I love my warm, furry jackets. I may not be able to wear heels but I now have a closet full of jackets! The East Coast this time of year explodes with vibrant with colors of orange, red and yellow – it is simply beautiful, leaves turning and those of you who have read my book will notice the cover was taken in Pennsylvania, near Lake Erie. You can’t beat the California weather but Oh how I love the four seasons. This month, I wanted to take a moment and thank those of you who have sent responses. It’s a wonderful reminder to me that when we go through something really difficult, there is purpose to it, or we can make a purpose of it – and if my purpose was to encourage you as you deal with your personal paralysis, then my reward is the wonderful stories and letters of “thank you” that you send to me …… Two recent ones. From my dear friend Linda – “I know when I have a stressful day or feel like my own company is going to put me six feet under, I only have to find Kate. I read her words and think how it must have felt to be in her journey. When I finish I say to myself, I can go on it is never as tough as what Kate went through. Thank you again for lifting me up!” And from a close friend, Michelle, “You still continue to inspire me. As I struggled to make sense of a huge project, I made myself a sign that said, "From paralysis to intention." Kate is Public Relations Director for The Stroke Network.
